Hi,
My name's Tim and I'm writing Forgotten Man Online, a game-literature light novel web-series that I plan to release here, on Royal Road, and eventually hopefully through Amazon's Kindle platform.

The link to my Royal Road fictions are here:
https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/24732/the-forgotten-man----platinum-online-v

My narrative will cover the digital life of James Cartwright, a coma patient for 20 years, who is digitised by a mysterious company looking to capitalise on digital resources. Jim will work with the company's AI, 'System' to overcome the grief he feels at his own death and being forgotten by the people he knew. The plot has an overarching metanarrative of Jim finding a way to break himself out of the digital world and reunite with his daughter. The story will also have numerous sub-plots of Jim in the game world of Platinum Online where he ekes out his existence and develops from there.

The rules of the game world are inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic, Eador, as well as various MMORPGs. I'm hoping to avoid being too cliched or derivative, and look forward to feedback from readers to prevent this.

Thanks,
Tim

For the average price of a cheap game literature novel on Kindle, you can get involved by reading all of my future planning and providing feedback.

$5 Involvement
$5 or more per month

Hell, if you like the book enough to spend $5 a month in support of me, I'll name a character for/after you (thought it may be as minor as one of the people talking in chat). Please note: It needs to be a real, human name; no noobhunter69, sorry.

If you have a preference for a character, and I've not yet published the final copy, I'll even rename an existing character.

I'll also be doing this for non-patrons that have made significant contributions in terms of feedback during the drafting process, so you'll have good company!

Goals
$3 of $10 per month
The book has a tonne of art that I've made myself with my somewhat meagre skills. With this money, I'll commission artwork from Fiverr etc. to start making good quality maps, character art, book covers, etc!
