Fred Tingaud is creating Quick Bench

Hi, I'm Fred, the guy behind Quick Bench.
Quick Bench is a website to create and run C++ micro benchmarks online easily. The goal being for any C++ programmer to be able to run a micro benchmark on a whim, without having to spend time looking for a benchmark library, compiling and installing it, read its documentation, then write the code.
I started the website in May 2017 and since then, it has been very well received by the community and gained visibility. It is hosted on Amazon Web Service and uses EC2 instances to run the benchmarks.
I first paid for it, as the cost was very low in the first months, but I created this Patreon for two reasons:
- The cost has been increasing with time, as the site became more and more used, I upgraded machines and the AWS free offers ended. It is now non negligible for me.
- So far, I have limited my options because of the cost. I use small EC2 instances and avoid paying some services that could improve the user experience.
With a stable financial contribution, I could switch to more powerful tools.

I will try to send a regular report on the costs, in order for patrons to see where their money is going.

Thank you!

You're contribution is greatly appreciated and next time you run a benchmark on Quick Bench, you will know it would be slower without you.

Thank you very much!

Goals
$41 of $50 per month
If we reach this goal, the minimal cost of Quick Bench will be entirely paid by contributors.
I'll use this financial freedom to switch the front-end on cloudfront, thus improving the loading time and allowing for HTTPS.
