Welcome on my patreon page! My name is Freddy, located in the Netherlands, and I'm very happy you're here! For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by monsters and mythical creatures. Right now, I'm working on a dream that '10-year old Freddy' had; Making monsters for games! It is a passion that I'd be glad to share!
What do you do?
With the development that the 3D printing industry has gone through over the last few years, I got inspired to start sculpting my own miniatures. I'm working on several sets of miniatures at a time.
Why should I support you?
Thanks for even considering it! If you enjoy what I do and feel like I'm contributing to your 3D-printing or gaming experience, a pledge of any amount is greatly appreciated. To make sure you are properly rewarded, I sent out rewards to everyone that pledges a certain goal. If you are able to afford a pledge, feel free to take a look over there!
Rewards include access to STL files, 2D art, access to private discord channels, your name in youtube-credits, entry into our monthly art competition and more.
How often do you charge patrons?
My initial goal was to create around 4-5 models each month. I've been struggling with some health issues, which makes it a bit more variable. Depending on my health, it's more likely to be between 1 and 5 sculpts per month.
If you believe this is too much, you can set up a cap to the amount of payments you want to do in a month. This makes a $1,- pledge/month possible! Every little bit helps :)
What kind of sculpts can I expect?
Monsters! Pretty much all of my models have been monsters and it's what I want to stick with for the time being. I'm working on a couple projects right now (to make sure I don't go chasing after EVERY idea I get). So most models will fit one of these projects:
Project 1: Monster Hunter monsters. I love the "Monster Hunter" series. I enjoy sculpting monsters from this series and I think they're great. I especially love the 'bigger' monsters, as they are awe-inspiring and often a mixture of brutal and beautiful.
Project 2: Man-ants. One of my first patrons got a couple requests in for some sculpts with my early reward-system. His idea was a hive of Ant-like creatures the size of regular monsters. I've already finished one, but I owe him a couple more designs. So I figured they deserve their own project.
Project 3: Patron Requests. These can be a bit more varied. Art-contest winners as well as other designs that patrons unlocked as rewards that don't fit Project 1 or 2 go here. Can be any kind of monster really.
What are potential new projects?
I have some ideas for new projects. When and if I will start them, will depend on how I feel when I conclude a current project and which one my patrons prefer. So these are not a promise, but a list of potential ideas.
- A Modron set
- A Sliver Hive
- Different type/size Elementals
- Undead Horde
- Monsters from the Erfworld webcomic (I'm a long-time reader)
- Hyper-realistic pokemon
- Set of pop-culture monsters
- Give me your suggestions!
I was initially working on a Canitaur Set.
This project is on hiatus, on the 2D-artist's request. We are working on another project together though. It's just business from his part and I respect his wishes.
I don't know if your miniatures work for me. Can I try a few models on my home printer before pledging?
Yes! Absolutely! I have a few models available for free! If you run into any problems while printing, be sure to send me a message! I've been sent pictures by several people that tried the free miniatures and they look amazing!
I don't have a 3D printer. Do you sent physical miniatures to your patrons?
If you don't have access to a 3D printer, it is still possible to get a hold of my models. I have made them available on shapeways where all of them can be bought. They will deliver the models to your door.
If I reach a high enough subscriber-amount, I might consider sending physical copies, but that is for the future.
Do you take commissions to sculpt a model for me?
It is absolutely possible to contact me and send in a request for a certain monster. Depending on the monster, the price can vary. The speed of which the model can be done, depends on the amount of other obligations I have to my patrons and the progress of the projects I'm currently running. Be aware that your commission will also become available to my other patrons.
If your budget is very limited, but time is not important either, it would be more advantageous to take a look at my rewards. The first few patrons get to send in a request after a certain $-goal has been reached.
Do you do collaborations?
Yes, I firmly believe working together with other content creators can only benefit everyone. For now I'm working together with Amellwind who helps me set up stats for monsters I create that don't have official stats.
If you are thinking of starting a collaboration with me, feel free to send me a message! We can always talk about ideas!
