Halfway to Freedom
That just about covers my bills. Woot!
Freedom Unlocked!
This covers all my living expenses, period. I'll need to take some freelance teaching and art gigs in order to ensure my butt is covered, but having this amount coming in every month means I am spending most of my time finishing the novel, not scrambling.
Flaming Freedom Balls of Victory
I love teaching! But if I reach this goal I can focus entirely on writing and creating art for the book.
Flaming Freedom Balls of Burning Vengeance
The book is now my full-time focus, but now I can take my teaching on the road. I can share more of my process with you, teach workshops across the country, and see you at conventions.
Flying Flaming Freedom Balls with Toasted Cheese on a 5-grain Bun
I can afford to hire a business assistant so I can focus even more time on the novel...and its sequels.

Hi there! I’m Anthony Scott Waters. My friends call me Ant.
I’ve worked as a professional artist for over 22 years, making monsters and designing scary places for a living, and it’s been a good life. I’ve been a mentor and a teacher. I’ve conducted workshops to demystify the mechanisms behind world-building and help students on their own creative voyages. I love helping folks make the most of their imaginations.
Now it’s time to create something for myself, and I’m inviting you to ride shotgun.
My novel is entitled Walking the Glass and it’s in the home stretch of its first draft. Creating worlds and characters? I can do that blindfolded. This is my third book but my first shot at fiction. I’m feeling equal parts excited, scared and bewildered, as the beast has assumed a life of its own. What was supposed to be a novella has turned into a series. Huzzah! And oh shit!
Your Patreon dollars support me as I finish up this novel and the art; they allow me to share the process with you so we can learn together; and they unchain me from The Man. My ultimate goal? I have enough of my own material to last a lifetime and I mean to unleash it by whatever means possible. The world doesn’t need more widgets. It could use some more good stories.
Sound interesting? Then toss what you can into the kitty and come along for the ride.
If you’re unfamiliar with my work you can find it here, and here, and here, and here, and also here.
