Hi! I'm a trans woman of colour living in Brooklyn, NY; I originally grew up in the Commonwealth of Dominica in the Caribbean. I write, edit, and teach for a living. I'm a staff writer at Literary Hub, and I've contributed work to places like The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Cut, The New Yorker, The Paris Review Daily, VICE, Slate, Guernica, Autostraddle, and many other places.

It can be difficult, though, to survive and make it through as a trans woman, especially as a trans woman of colour, particularly when it comes to the costs of transitioning. In my case, coming out essentially forced me into deciding not to return to my home in Dominica, as I did not think I could have a chance at a normal, happy life there as a queer woman, and although I'm happier living as myself and producing work in NYC, things are still often difficult.

If you'd like to donate anything to help this trans writer out, I'd be grateful, no matter the amount. And if you appreciate my work but can't afford to help out, I'm grateful for your support, all the same, as well. <3
