About GlobalEd Events

GlobalEd Events is a non-profit dedicated to providing innovative and inclusive face-to-face and virtual learning opportunities for students, educators, and organizations. Through GlobalEd Events and its signature event, the Global Education Conference, participants leverage technology to connect and collaborate across borders. This organization provides unique access to professional development, partnerships, teaching resources, and information about the services of leading global education organizations.

The Global Education Conference Network is the 28,000 member community of practice run by the GlobalEd Events team. This community is designed to specifically address the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 4 of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. SDG Indicator 4.7 specifically relates to our work, "By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture's contribution to sustainable development". The GEC Network addresses SDG 4 by creating events that help students and professionals develop pedagogical skills, improve educational outcomes, and increase global understanding and collaboration.

Steve Hargadon and Lucy Gray are the co-founders of the Global Education Conference Network by GlobalEd Events. They believe in the power of globally connected learning for people of all ages. Starting in 2010 with the launch of the virtual Global Education Conference, Steve and Lucy have developed and hosted many innovative physical and virtual events for global educators and organizations. In addition to the central Global Education Conference, the duo has also organized Global Education Day at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference (ISTE), Global Collaboration Day, and Global Leadership Week. Additionally, they have produced a webinar series with Know My World entitled GlobalEd.TV as well as the Global Student Conference.
