I want to create good things for good people.

I have followed the dream and will be releasing my first studio album on February 29th.  I am lucky; I am thankful.  I want to continue to create music and get out into the world.  It's selfish.  But come on y'all it'll be real cool.

I have bought and sold musical equipment over the last few years in order to have the gear I needed and then to maybe make a little cash.  I like old guitars.  I like weird guitars.  I also pick up amps, drums, bass guitars, microphones, and so on.  I like to sell good instruments at good prices.  I can also customize, refinish, rewire, and so on.  I would love to do a guitar with effects built in, I'm talking non-standard.

I am also lucky enough to be working as an intern at Echo Mountain Recording Studio in Asheville, NC.  They have an incredible team and have put out incredible records.  I would like to do everything I can for Echo Mountain; they made the records that meant so much to me growing up and they made my record.  I have a future vision, a vision of the future, where the Echo Mountain interns pair up and record demo tracks of local, up-and-coming bands.  The interns get to learn, the band gets a good demo at a good price, and Echo Mountain becomes the place where it all started.  I wouldn't expect to be paid as an intern but Echo Mountain needs to keep money coming in.  A pledge to me, myself, and my doings will keep costs low and maximize value.

The last piece of the pie, a new dedication to woodworking.  I have set up a workshop and outfitted it well beyond my budget.  I have ideas for instruments, furniture, frames, and a gaggle of other good things.  I want to make good things with good materials and sell those things at a good price; I need help.

Please get in contact with me.  I really appreciate your time and would be grateful for your pledge.

I can also find guitars, build furniture or frames, and more.

Best,
J. Lee Rankin
