Short Stories, Books and Audio Books
My imagination conjures too much weirdness to leave it unshared with the world.

Milestone Goals
Undying Gratitude
Okay, okay. You already have my undying gratitude. But now you have it with a colossal dose of shock and awe.
Ad-Free Site
Once I reach $75 per story/chapter/recording, I'll strip out all of the ads from the Fiction Improbable site.
New Recording Equipment
Right now I have a kludgy and very basic audio recording setup. It leaves me with a lot of editing and re-recording of audio to do whenever I try to produce an audio book. An investment in new equipment will make the process a lot less painful and time-consuming, so it will happen a lot more often! Once I hit this level of funding, I should be able to periodically add new equipment to my setup.
Professional Assistance
At this pledge level, I would be secure in looking for some professional assistance with my writing. This could specifically include things like finally being able to hire a professional editor to go over my work, professional artists to create covers, logos, maps and illustrations, and various other services that will be pretty awesome.
Worldbuilders
I love the work that Pat Rothfuss and co. do with their Worldbuilders organization to benefit Heifer International, and at this milestone level, I would be able to safely donate 10% of all Patreon patronage to their cause. (Or you can give directly to them if you like, instead of running it through Patreon and myself.)
Self-Sustaining Art
At this level of funding, and assuming I produce 1-2 (call it 1.5) stories, chapters and/or audio books a week, I believe I could safely say I could live on my writing alone. At this point I'd be able to devote a much larger percentage of my time to my writing and recording efforts.
About
I write science fiction, fantasy, horror and steampunky stuff. I also write science and tech bloggy type stuff. Once in a rare while, I record audio versions of stories. You can find me at Fiction Improbable, GeeksLife.com, TWIS.org, and at Twitch.tv/GordMcLeod.

I'm an author at Fiction Improbable (http://www.fictionimprobable.com) where I post all kinds of short fiction and even longer books for free. I write sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and steampunk.
I've been writing for my whole life; it's one of my greatest pleasures, and is the best way I know to connect with people and really get ideas across to them. As I've grown as a person and a writer, my ideas have gotten increasingly weird and warped, and people tell me they actually like them. So I've taken it upon myself to share these weird, warped ideas as widely as I can manage.
Your support will help me with this quest of mine. With enough patrons, I hope to one day be able to make a living at writing. Long before that happens, the money I earn will help me reduce the amount of time I have to spend working other jobs that keep me away from writing, and will allow me to invest in equipment to improve my audio production setup. Better microphones and editing software and associated equipment will allow me to make the best audio books I possibly can.
Your support means the world to me, and even if you can't afford provide any patronage, thank you very much for taking the time to stop in here and read this. If you CAN pledge money towards my cause, you've helped me make the world a weirder place. That is absolutely priceless.
