Too many times I am told that it is "hard to find" talented people in the charity sector who aren’t male and/or white.

Tired by this nonsense, in April 2019 I started www.GreatCharitySpeakers.com - it started off as a simple list, crowd-sourced from Twitter, of talented women in the sector. The aim was to remove any excuse for charity sector conferences to only feature white male speakers.

With the help of some amazing volunteers, the site has now evolved to:
  • Feature blog content from talented women from the charity sector
  • Host a podcast so that more voices can be heard, and
  • Make the lists of speakers easier to navigate for people who use the website (we are still working on this!)
The first fifteen months of this website have been made possible thanks to generous people who helped raise £1,000 in 2018 and talented volunteers who have donated their time, skills and expertise. So far, no one has been paid for their services - the only money spent has been invested into the domain name, the platform hosting and technology.

With your support, I could dedicate more of my time to making this site more vibrant, accessible and better known. Please do support if you can.
