About HiEv Heavy Industries

I provide tools and technical support for the Twine game development platform using the SugarCube 2 story format.  If I've helped you, or if you use any of my tools, this page allows you to throw a little thanks my way in the form of donations.  Your support allows me to keep providing free help and tools to everyone, which will hopefully encourage more people to develop new and interesting games.

Universal Inventory System (UInv):
Currently, a large portion of my time and effort over the last year has gone into developing the "Universal Inventory System", or "UInv" for short.  This is a JavaScript "plugin" for Twine and SugarCube 2 which is meant to help even novice developers easily add inventories to their game.  You can download UInv from my GitHub page (currently pre-release v0.9.7.2, updated Sept. 9, 2019), or you can take a look at some simple UInv sample code and the preliminary version of the UInv help file online (these will be more fleshed out in v1.0).

You can also read here to keep up with the latest UInv updates.

General Twine/SugarCube Sample Code:
I also write a bunch of sample code to help people out at the Twine Q&A site, the /r/twinegames subreddit, and various forums.  As I do this I try to collect the interesting bits of code and put them into one Twine HTML file which shows how to use the code and explains what it does.  If you're new to Twine, or even if you're fairly experienced, you may find some useful bits of code there.

For details, see this post, or go straight to the HTML file here:
General Twine/SugarCube Sample Code

I will post whenever the general Twine/SugarCube sample code is updated as well.

Please, only donate if you can actually afford it.  The tools and posts here are available to anyone for free, whether you donate anything or not.  Donations are taken monthly, regardless of output, since I'm working on the code even if it takes more than a month to complete the next release.  Feel free to cancel at any time.

If you only want to make a one-time donation, then you can do so through my PayPal donation link.

I'm also considering offering code review, debugging, and technical assistance to Twine/SugarCube developers for certain donations.  If this is something you might be interested in, please let me know.

Thank you for your support.  😊
