First off thank you for stopping by this Patreon page – your curiosity means a lot to me!

(02/14/19) My name is Sif Perlt Savery; animator and independent content creator. I first started releasing Tales of Zale as an animated web-series back in 2015, and we’ve come a long way since then! I’ve studied and failed and learned a whole bunch while at it. In just the last couple of years, I’ve gotten to go on journeys to Korea (Chungkang College of Cultural Arts) to learn about heartfelt storytelling, France (La Poudrière) to learn about series development and Ireland (Cartoon Saloon) to learn about production - all while studying for an Animation Bachelor at The Animation Workshop in Denmark.

As of January 2019, I've graduated from my studies, and to me it only makes sense to take this chance to further pursue what I love. For now, I've been granted an artist residency back in Viborg, which means that my accommodation is covered, and I just need to worry about general living costs. I've got savings to cover me for a while, but having this Patreon running will help making it just that tiny bit more sustainable!

In this time I would like to dive deeper into the production of the third webisode of Tales of Zale, while also developing the project as a TV-series pitch that I can bring to studios, producers and later pitching forums.

I would like to share as much of my process as possible while doing so, and when you support me on Patreon you get front-row seats to this journey. There's no holding back now, so let's see what this year can bring!

ABOUT TALES OF ZALE:

EPISODE 3 (in production): Venturing back into the mysterious city ruins, Zale is presented with a harsh reality that throws him out of balance. Meanwhile Elva is given a difficult choice...

Tales of Zale Episode 3 is of a completely different size and complexity from what has preceded it. I want it to reflect the things I've learned during my studies and take the time to make it right.
The episode is going to be 11 minutes long, and explore elements that can play into the TV-series pitch. While some would say it'd make more sense only to work on the pitch, I think this episode will be a very valuable production experience for me, and more than anything I'd like to share this story near and dear to my heart with everybody who has supported the project thus far.
