is creating family saga, historical fiction stories and sharing them
I write historical fiction in a creative nonfiction style generally of the family saga genre. It began with a novel I first created in 1987 that I rewrote, edited and self-published in 2010 during my first year of retirement after 15 years as a University Professor of Business Management. My wife and I have been passionate family history researchers for over 20 years and my writing flows from those many, many family stories and circumstances we have revealed in our travels and library, cemetery, newspaper and online research. “The Homeplace Saga” series of stories now include 5 novels/novellas, one short story collection, and more than 250+ short stories (many compiled into ebooks) all set in a rural town and farming community in the southern Missouri Ozarks (fictional, but based on actual times and places). I currently have been completing two new related stories a week and that will continue at a similar pace. I also love to share the creative process of that writing.

Your support of this continuing work as a patron would be appreciated. I’d like to guide (curate) your reading of the stories of this 8 (now) generation family and their friends and neighbors, as they settled this land, built a community as they built their families. Over the years, the families interactive, intermarried, just as my wife and I observed in our actual families as the migrated from the east coast to the American Heartland. Everyone knows everyone else in a small town. Many are related by blood or marriage. They have feuds and they have great times. They endured wars, and survived.

Join me on these adventures. I look forward to interacting with you, my readers, as we go on this adventure. Let me know how you would like to proceed on your journey through these lives and we will act to do that. Thank you.

Goals
2% complete
My first goal is 100 patrons. I sold a few hundred copies of my first novel and I know there are a lot of readers out there. My real interest is in reaching them, and interacting with them - you! Thank each of you for helping me reach my first goal
