Starting a riot for indie games. Enabling the evolution of the indie game community.

We'd love to show our appreciation for all of the people who support us! Getting to this point will allow us to purchase at least 1 extra copy of the game we feature in "Starting the Riot" to giveaway during our live show! Giving to all of you while supporting the developers... it's a win all around!

We would love to have a new shirt every month! Our plan is to hold a contest for all of you with artistic ability to enter! We'd pay $100 to the winner and use their design for that month's shirt!

Tek from Indie Game Riot, will create a weekly series where he quickly runs through the biggest stories and indie games of the week!

To continue getting exposure for our featured games and to have some extra fun, we will create a Let's Play series for every one of them and hopefully you will all be entertained as well!

We'd like to do two types of animations. First would be short animated clips from our show and the second would be a series based around indie games! Josh and Tek have backgrounds in voice acting and may even voice many of them.

To do this, we'd commission a talented animator, hence the monetary necessity.

As many of you probably know already, we have taken the liberty to start Indie Revolution Expo! The 100% digital, 100% free indie game convention where the entire indie game community is welcome to come celebrate what the community stands for, to show off amazing games and hear from talented panelists!

However, if we reach this goal, we'd LOVE to upgrade IRX, by giving it it's own page and upgrading the quality of the stream!

While we appreciate that most of you are fond of our current video quality, we'd love to have a professional create new bumpers and motion graphics for the show. After that, we'd like to hire someone to edit the show every week which will free us up to create even more awesome content while improving the show for all of you!

While Indie Game Riot focuses on independent video games, tabletop games have a huge indie community as well! if we hit this mark, we will start up another podcast dedicated to the tabletop side of the indie gaming community!

This will allow Indie Game Riot to show up at various events and connect with devs and gamers alike!

While our current website is nice, it really lacks the functionality needed for the plans we have for Indie Game Riot. We need something a lot flashier and smoother for you all to create a community around and we need a user-friendly front end so we can change things on the fly if needed.

Our end product may seem well produced, but to be honest, getting it to that point can be a huge pain! With better equipment, quality in recording will go up and with an office so will our creativeness and productiveness. Having a space to work in will open up a lot for Indie Game Riot!

Imagine if Steam and Itch.io had a baby! What we are imagining for our web store brings the best of both worlds to light. We will curate the store by screening games and devs before allowing them to sell... especially wit "Early Access" type of releases.

Also, we plan on supporting the devs as much as possible by giving them full control over their prices and creating a way to grow a community around their games AND we plan on giving them full profits (unless they choose otherwise)!

This is the idea we are most excited about. This fund will allow us to help out deserving devs by funding their projects, helping them with education, getting better equipment and software, etc...

We will accept nominations as well as being on the lookout ourselves. Then we will put it up to a vote for all of you as well as using our own judgement (to prevent "Greenlight" type of voting campaigns by the devs) to choose who will receive the support!
