Milestone Goals
You guys rock
Wow, a portion of my monthly costs are now covered without worry. I will be able to channel more of my time and effort into Surreal Moments and Finder without feeling like I am ignoring commissions or convention prep.
Once this level is reached I will push to have Surreal Moments become a bi-weekly comic rather than a monthly to bi-monthly comic.
I will also begin adding Patreon only codes for coupons to my Etsy.

I am an illustrator. Using both traditional media as well as
programs in the Adobe Suite to create. I have been posting my work publicly online for just over 7 years.

Who are You?
I am Ishaway. I am an illustrator, artist, and graphic designer. I am currently a one person studio, making things from paintings, to children’s book illustrations, to comics.
I am currently supporting myself through commissions from private clients and sales of original pieces. This means a large chunk of my creative time is making works for other people or pieces to sell at art fairs, shows, conventions, or through an online store front.
So, what is your goal here?
My goal with Patreon is to carve out small chunks of time to work on larger projects that are 100% self directed. I have a handful of comic scripts written and in the process of being broken down in to pages for comics or picture books.
What exactly am I supporting?
At this time you are supporting two comics in their beginning stages.
The first comic, Surreal Moments, is done in a comic strip format. These strips do not have a story arc but are used as a place to experiment with inking techniques, styles, and hand lettering.
My Patreon is the place these strips will be posted first and it will be the only place that wips and suggestion requests will be posted.
I do intend to try publishing these strips both online and in print, but they will be posted here first before going up on other sites.
At the current pace this is a monthly comic strip.
The second comic is a graphic novel in the more traditional sense of story telling. Working title Finder. It is a small comic I have been writing for a year or so, and I finally feel ready to begin working on the actual visuals.
The entire comic is being rendered in Scratchboard before being complied into a traditional comic book layout.
Currently only my Patreon backers have access to this comic. I am not currently posting it on any of my online galleries.
If or when this changes I will update this information accordingly.

Sumi -- A children's book about a red panda
Catharsis -- A anthromorphic comic focused on the idea of shedding toxic things in your life.
