Greetings, & thank you for stopping by!
I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and fine artist based in California's beautiful Bay Area. Having dabbled in numerous fields—I devoured everything from biology to visual arts!—I spent my formative years making art, singing, studying, and rescuing animals. Now that I have settled in as a designerprepress-techand full-time mom; I spend my time working, making art, singing, studying, rescuing animals, and being a full-time mom.

Work & momming do take up the majority of my time & energy, & rightly so.

But I would much love to reduce time spent working outside the home and afford additional focus to art and design endeavors. Ideas are constantly boiling over my brain-pan—thematic painting series, children's books, art books, a card game... the list goes on!—but it seems I have so little time, and in some cases lack the resources, to chase them down and bring them to fruition. I have joined Patreon with hope for a remedy.

What budgeting needs am I looking to fulfill?
Contributions via Patreon will cover costs for supplies, equipment and services necessary to achieve my goals.

Watercolors- When it comes to painting, there are various mediums I enjoy. However, at present, watercolor best suits my limited work space. I have previously restricted myself to mid-grade paints due to budgetary constraints; but, I greatly wish to transition to professional-grade paints (e.g. Windsor Newton) for future pieces. Excluding an initial purchase to get started, I anticipate $20 per month in replenishment costs.

Drawing Pencils & Pens- Depending on application, there are a variety I utilize; Prismacolor, Derwent, and Micron to name a few. I anticipate $10 per month in replenishment costs.

Stock- Good stock/substrate is imperative. In past endeavors, I have more than once lost paintings to poor stock. Lesson learned! I estimate up to $50 per month in replenishment costs depending on stock size, nature, and usage.

Scanning- If I were merely scanning documents, I would—of course!—scan them from home. Obtaining giclée-quality scans for art reproduction is an entirely different story! At present, my pieces are kept within specific dimensions and cost anywhere from $75 to $250 per piece to scan—I do my own color matching, so I do save there!—but larger pieces will cost more. Depending on my output, regular scanning costs may range from $75 to $500 per month. At some point in the near future, I hope to afford giclée-quality scans in volume—for book illustration layouts!—and drum scans for large/over-size pieces, as needed.

Printing- I have utilized Fine Art America to offer printed reproductions, but; I prefer to have more control over the print quality and quantity I am able to offer. I will also have printing costs for publication to look into should I self-publish with illustrations in the future. (I do not have an estimate for such costs at this time.)

Web Hosting- Between hosting and domain registration, I anticipate $10 per month, although it will likely be paid annually.

Equipment- $500 per month for one year would cover much needed hardware upgrades and software subscriptions.

The list will, no doubt, continue to evolve.

I consider myself a lifelong student.

As such, I am open and eager to receive advice and guidance as I proceed. If ever you have questions, suggestions, or concerns about the manner in which I have stated or structured a goal, please let me know!

Thank you for your support!
For your support, in whatever form it may take, I am grateful. The late-great Ray Bradbury once honored me by signing production art I illustrated, adding the short but meaningful message "Onward!" and; "Onward" is exactly where I would like to go.

Goals
$0 of $500 per month
$500 per month would allow me to cover the costs for a couple high quality scans, the ability to keep a few good prints on hand, and replenishing supplies. The freedom to create, and the opportunity to build something with my creations, is my one of my greatest desires.
