Creating Relaxing ASMR Videos to Help You Tingle, Smile, and Drift Away to Sleep ...

ASMR videos are a unique kind of relaxation video with a large and growing audience; their purpose is to induce a sensation of relaxation and comfort in the viewer by utilizing various "triggers" such as soothing sounds, soft speaking, personal attention, and gentle hand movements. ASMR is a pseudo-science term that stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, and it refers to the pleasant, comforting tingling sensation that many experience in their head, neck, back, and/or limbs when stimulated by one of the triggers mentioned above.
I create and publish free videos on my YouTube channel, Jellybean Green ASMR. I use a combination of compassion and humor to make both traditional videos as well as unexpected ones. In addition to a well-rounded offering of videos, I work hard to give my viewers a high level of interaction in the comments section of my videos.
COMMERCIAL FREE! I'm currently in the process of making my channel commercial free. The monthly income I make from ad revenue has been a huge help, but after hearing lots of feedback about how stressful and distracting loud ads can be, I've decided to begin removing them from my videos. My channel will be completely free of live* ads by July 1st.
Perks
I'm open to the idea of adding "perks" for supporters at a later point, but for now I'm trying to focus on why I started my channel: making great videos to help people relax, for free. Eventually, if I think I can handle the extra workload of fulfilling perks without it taking away from my videos, we'll give it a whirl! For now, the perks that are available to everyone at every supporter level are this: Access to my private Patreon feed and the opportunity to be my "focus group" if you so wish. I'll occasionally be sending out questions or polls asking for feedback on production details, and I'd love to hear what y'all think.
I love making these videos, and I will continue to make them, for free, no matter what. However, as a working mom pursuing a nursing degree, finding the time and money to make videos can be a significant challenge. After caring for my son all day, I spend my nighttime hours doing schoolwork, putting in hours at my work-from-home job, and filming and editing videos. I don’t sleep much. By committing to be my patron, y’all would be helping me to put money directly into improving my videos by buying props and equipment, as well as helping me to supplement my income from my regular job and thereby allowing me to occasionally catch an extra hour or two of that elusive sleep that we’re all chasing. ;)
