Hi,
I am collecting data about my grandmother, painter, and textile artist Petronele Gerlikiene (1905?-1979) for an upcoming documentary about her.
She was born in Chicago, USA and in 1908? moved with her family to Lithuania, where she spent the rest of her days and where she died, where she started to paint and create large-scale textile work. We have a lot of data about her life in Lithuania, however, almost nothing about her early life in the USA.
My goal and challenge is to find the documents, both marriage certificate of her parents, her birth certificate and the families on both sides who still live in the USA.

P. Gerlikien's life was tragic and full of hardship, she survived two World Wars, loss of her husband, and the Soviet regime, but her creativity blossomed up suddenly after her retirement... She left us an extraordinarily authentic creative heritage - paintings and embroidered large format tapestries... And her story.

More about P. Gerlikiene, please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petron%C4%97l%C4%97...

A video (silent b&w) from her exhibition opening in 1977: https://vimeo.com/276923934
