Hi! Thank you so much for visiting my page.
My name is Jared and I love nature. I have always had a connection with nature, and loved being among the trees and flowers. I also love to share nature with others. Here I get to do just that. 

When I started doing photography I instantly fell in love. With my camera I have the ability to share the beauty I see with you. I love to travel to new places and find little nooks of nature that few people ever see. My ultimate goal is to travel around the world, find those little known areas of beauty, and share them with you here. This all takes money of course, but you can help with that.

What are you supporting?
I want to give you the best photos that nature can provide. Your monthly pledge will help me to keep up to date on the best equipment, allow me to travel more, and allow me to dedicate more time to providing you with the beauty of nature.

Most important of all though, you will be a part of a community of people who love nature as much as you do. You are not just supporting me as a creator, you are also creating your own community of nature lovers. You are the creator as much as I am.

Some things I'm working on.

• Photographing Missouri's Natural Areas. Natural areas are ecosystems that have survived hundreds, or even thousands of years. As settlers moved west they changed the landscape dramatically. They cut down forests, tilled prairie, drained swamps, etc. all in the name of progress. Today we are starting to see the error of that. Natural areas have been distinguished as having rare ecosystems that survived the progress of the settlers. There are 174 Natural Areas in Missouri that are owned by different charitable organizations. I want to photo document all of the areas in great detail to increase people's awareness of them, help generate better support and funding for them, and to preserve their legacy. Your pledge will be vital to this cause.
• Photographing the National Parks. The National Parks are such a vital part of the United States. I went to Yellowstone (the first park) in 2010 and knew right away that I was home. That's the beauty of the Parks; they belong to all US citizens. They offer a place where you can see America in its natural and native form. No loud city streets or rush hour traffic. John Muir said it best; "Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul."  Your pledge will allow me to work towards this goal so that I can share with you the beauty that all our Parks have to offer.
