About Jeremy Dennis

My name is Jeremy Dennis, I am an artist and photographer born and raised on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Southampton, NY.

Since 2016, I have set out to pursue an art-based research project titled On This Site, based in Long Island, NY, documenting local landscapes significant to indigenous history and presence from ten thousand years ago to the present.

Please visit the project website below:
http://jeremynative.com/onthissite/

With your support, I would be able to travel to new sites, spend time conducting more research, and hosting future exhibitions.

Recently in June 2020, I launched Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio. The house will serve as a communal art space based on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Southampton, New York. The family house, built in the 1960s, will serve as my home and studio, along with a residency program for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), art studio, library, along with hosting an array of art and history-based programs for tribe members and the broader local community.
