Jose Barrientos is creating Cyber Security Videos/Behind the Scenes

I make videos depicting me turning the table on scammers (would be "bad guys") and just general cyber security related content. Some of these videos have done well, and as a result I get a lot of requests for tutorials or further explanation about the exploits and source code used in the attacks/attack platforms. The overall volunteer work I do in counter-scamming (aka scam-baiting) or digital reconnaissance for non-profits, I do as a way to give back, and as a creative outlet which provides much needed stress relief. Sometimes, it makes for decent content that I further produce on my YouTube channel. These endeavors are exceptionally time consuming, and I am not paid for them. So, the idea of creating instructional content was something I didn't think I had time for given how busy my day jobs keep me. . . . that is, until someone suggested I make a Patreon account, to try to “meet half way” the influx of requests I get. If this pans out, I can dedicate more and more time to the things that matter to my audience and myself both. Along the way, we can all learn something.

Format-wise I plan to begin by posting bi-monthly. Three videos each post (six total) in which I will cover a specific topic broken down like this:

1. Introduction: Things you'll need to download/install
2. Theory: How these things work
3. Application: How to actually use them, in a lab and in the wild

TL;DR trying to buy a boat
