Who am I?
Hello! I am Jupiter Hadley - an indie game YouTuber and journalist who also covers game jams. I cover thousands of game jam games a year on my YouTube channel, as well as various individual non-game jam indie games for both PC and Android.
I run IndieGameJams.com, a calendar of indie game jams.
I also cover other indie games as single Let’s Plays and I do game developer interviews over on my YouTube.
I make content for the IndieGameLaunchpad YouTube channel as well.
Over the last few years I have written for various sites, but most recently, I have written for AlphaBetaGamerGameJolt’s Fireside, Creators.coBigBossBattle.com. I create podcasts about Indie Gaming News.
I also give talks from time to time around Europe on games and make free to use fonts
In short, I just try to do what I can in and for the indie gaming community.
Recently, I have hit 20,000 indie games documented on my YouTube Channel. All of my time goes into the community.

Why Patreon?

Freelance writing and YouTubing is not a stable income. I pour most of my time into covering indie games each and every week. I feel that covering game jams specifically is so needed - to bring light to these small gems hidden in the piles of jam games. I do not cover all of the popular indie games as individual games on my channel, but instead I show off hidden gems that may have gotten lost in the ever growing indie scene.

Being able to use Patreon to fund the coverage I currently do will enable me to continue to make content and survive. YouTube does not pay as much as one would think for the number of videos I create, so I rely on Patreon and freelance writing to keep myself afloat. This has been a pretty challenging road so far.

What’s next?
I currently am always looking for more things to do and more ways to help bring light to indie games. I have recently moved to London and have been exploring more events! This exciting change has been very amazing when it comes to meeting some of the amazing developers out there.
I am also working on a load of side projects and secret things, so hopefully they will work out and I will be able to share them with you all.

Thank you
Thank you for looking at this page and considering to donate to me. Every bit really helps me out. Thank you ever so much. Someday I hope to reach the point where I can not only survive but thrive doing this.

Donate a Dollar to get access to a Google Drive sheet that shows basically what game jams I am working on or planning on working on. It is nothing fancy, but you can literally see what games are being covered before they are released to YouTube. You will get to see the game jam I am currently working on, ones that I have queued up, and the last 10 games I have recorded for the most recent game jam. You will also get to see what games from that jam I choose as favorite, before its posted on Fireside. If you have donated, please email [email protected] with the subject line Patreon, with your GMAIL so that I can add you.

New Series
Jam Favorites: Video form!
You know those articles I write on the best of each game jam? I'd be making a video, with some editing, showing off the best games for each game jam that I am writing articles about, if that makes sense. You can also go read the article instead, if you like those best. <3
