"Music, the one incorporeal force that understands mankind, but which mankind does not understand."

-Ludwig Van Beethoven

Hello everyone! For those of you who don't know me personally, here is my story in a nutshell: ten years ago I was at the top of my game, or what I thought was the top. I really was just doing what everyone else said I should do: go to college, get a degree, and become a music teacher. In 2006, I was a very successful orchestra director and teacher; I ran a huge program at a well-known arts school with 750 students and several orchestras. I also worked ten hour days and had my own home. At age 26, I felt "successful" according to my exterior standards. Don't get me wrong - I absolutely loved teaching, but the life I had built just wasn't as fulfilling as I thought it would be.

After a lot of soul searching I decided that I really missed performing, something I had been doing since age four. One day, I threw all caution to the wind and decided to audition for a rock band. This is something that I secretly had always wanted to do. The first band I auditioned for had my future husband in it, and he immediately took one look at me and said, "What the hell are you doing teaching? You are an amazing talent and you need to be performing for a living. I want to help you do just that." So we started our own band and the rest is history.

Since these past years, the band has been growing, but is still in need for a lot of help. As a traditionally giving soul, it is embarrassing for me to ask for help, even as my electricity is being shut off. However, as a supporter, here is how you can help me – crowdfunding. This makes it possible for me to have the stability and support I need to give back to my fans. As well, it also shows the importance and power of music and art in society to create joy and balance, to transform our pain and take it to that place of healing light in our lives. Artists are harbingers of light and joy and should be treated as such. Art and music is essential to create change and balance in society, and to give love where love is most needed.

As my crowdfunding supporter, here is what you can help me do more of:

  • Produce original music and concerts
  • Write and record my original music and get it out into the world
  • Write blog posts to share my experiences with others
  • Help organizations
  • Begin my non-profit mission

I don't expect any one person to contribute more than they can afford, even a $1 per month helps! It's not about the amount of money you give, it's about the amount of people who are giving, so please share! With your help, I can be the catalyst of change for my vision in the world.

Goals
$23 of $1,000 per month
This goal represents the total monthly amount of support I would need in order to produce monthly concerts featuring original music.  It also helps me to create the time I need to focus on original and creative content to share with my fans on a weekly (eventually daily) basis
