Hiya! I'm Godson, the creator of KekBot. And I'd like to talk abo—

Wait, what is KekBot?
Well, KekBot is a Discord bot, with the goal of being a all-in-one, open source, community based bot, written in Java. From having basic admin tools like mass kick/bans, purging messages, to fun stuff like profiles and minigames, to everyone's favorite: dishing out some dank maymays.

What do you mean by community based?

Unlike the majority of Discord bots I've seen, KekBot is meant to be made for communities, by our users throughout all of Discord. From features requested by our community, to memes sent to us by users.

Isn't that basically every other bot?
Not exactly. Some bots claim they're "all-in-one", but then miss a few features that users request be added, or never truly come off as "all-in-one" to some of their users. Some bots do manage to pull off the "all-in-one" shtick, but then become really complicated to use and aren't really user friendly. KekBot attempts to be as user friendly as it can be, while still having easter eggs and shortcuts for more experienced users, sometimes even redesigning complicated commands to be more user friendly.

So why are you on Patreon?
Server costs are expensive, I alone won't be able to pay to keep the bot up, especially when I also have to worry about college, bills, food, and other assorted costs. Any money earned off of Patreon goes straight to the bot, and only the bot. I'm capable of living off my own funds, I have no need to leech off of Patreon for anything other than stuff relating to KekBot and its development.

What do I gain from this?
Supporters earn variety of different rewards for pledging, each tier having their own differing rewards, with new perks coming whenever possible. Soon enough, supporters may even get extra features that other users might not be able to have. (Not because I'm desperate for money, but because I don't want the bot to hit ratelimits too much, at least if they're patreon-only, ratelimits would be harder to hit and would be easier to compensate for.)

And, in case you're curious, KekBot's source code can be found right here.
