The Klein Family Farm is nestled in the pristine mountains in Western NC. We have many loves and endeavors. We steward the land we live on, growing organic gardens and orchards. We share food harvests with several low income families. We grow many medicinal herbs and make videos on how to grow, process and make herbal extracts on our YouTube channel 'Lyme Compass'.  Our family has struggled with tick born illness and raising awareness about Lyme Disease is important to us. We built a website to spare families from learning about Lyme the hard way. We compiled all of our resources from our health journey at www.LymeCompass.net. We currently work with doctors and organizations to provide herbal extractions for free or at cost to families who could not otherwise afford them. We volunteer our time to teach adults and children alike about herbology. We have brought herbal education into public and private schools as well as to our local 4H.  We are also artists. Jem is a gifted flute maker and woodworker. He studied the art of shakuhachi making for many years with master flute maker Monty Levenson. Jem is a self taught wood worker. Jem would love to work more with sculpture but keeping up with the bills has not allowed him the creative time. You can see Jem's work at: www.JemKlein.com. Meredith considers mothering, cooking and herbology to be art forms. You can see her work at: www.ReverenceBotanicals.com. We homeschool our two sons, Oak and Eben with major emphasis on community service. We do all of the these things mentioned above while also doing our best maintain our own health while having Lyme.
If you appreciate what we are doing and would like to support us we offer our deepest gratitude. We hope to have the funds available soon to build a permanent greenhouse as well a purchase an industrial hemp growing permit. A tractor would be beyond incredible! We gladly, humbly and gratefully welcome your support so that we can also help support others!
