Knowledge for Life

Knowledge for LIFE is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. The mission of Knowledge for LIFE is to bringing relevant information to the Black community via multimedia. We have launched a dynamic interactive lecture series, Knowledge Cypher (KC).

KC is a monthly, 2hr forum that calls on professionals, activists, and artists to enlighten, inform and educate Dayton residents, particularly the Black community, on issues impacting the Black community. Issues range from health to business to relationship issues.

The conferences are held every 3rd Tuesday of the month on the campus of the historically Black college Central State West.

Every conference is recorded and uploaded to our social media sites (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Tumblr) where we have a combined following of over 40,000. We will also air the conferences on Dayton Access Television (DATV). DATV can be seen exclusively on Spectrum channel 5 in the City of Dayton, Riverside and Butler Twp. and channels 5, 6 or 23 in Dayton's northern suburbs.

With your financial help, we will be able to make these conferences even more impactful and interactive by:

• Produce a high-quality with state-of-the-art equipment;

• Broadcast the forums live, allowing those who may be elderly, infirmed, handicapped or unable to attend the meeting in person to be apart of our virtual audience and interact with our panelists;

• Design a website that can act as a Clearing House of information where videos can be archived, articles can be found, and resources can be linked;

• To employ interns from the local colleges and universities. This will not only aid our efforts in producing a quality program, it will give them experience and pad their portfolios.

We have ambitious goals. One, to positively impact the lives of Blacks that reside in Dayton and the Miami Valley. Second, to make KC conferences as popular as TedTalks, where they take place in every town and city Black people populate. With your financial help, we can make this a reality.
