Book Club!
I am pretty pumped about this - if and when I hit $500, I will create a book club on Goodreads where we'll have a "book of the month" (we will decide this via poll). Then we'll have awesome discussions about the new book every month! [WE ALREADY HIT THIS ONCE, SO THE BOOK CLUB EXISTS!]
Embarrassing Fanfiction
I have spent the better part of my Internet years hiding my old fanfics from you guys. BUT - if we can hit $700 I will come out of the fanfiction closet and read one out loud. To you. On camera. I wrote these as a child, so you can imagine terrible, plot-hole ridden hilarity. *gulp*
Regular Live Streams
If we hit $900 I will start hosting semi-regular Twitch live streams. We already want to do more live streams with Team Hypercube, so this could mean I broadcast with them, or maybe I'll just play hilarious dating sims on my own. We'll see!
Regular Read-a-Thons!
I've tested out a Patron-only Read-a-Thons in the past (make sure you're pledged at the $5 level or higher to participate!) but if we can hit $800, I'll make these a regular thing. For everyone.
COLLAB VIDEO!
That's right, if we hit $1,000, it's collab video time - and YOU'RE invited! I'll be making a giant collab video on my channel and collecting clips from all of my Patrons (those who want to at least). I'll also link to your channel in the description. This will be the largest collab video I've ever attempted and it'll be because of you. :)
Unicorn Warrior Postcards!
If we reach $1,200, EVERY single one of my current patrons will receive a handwritten, specially designed UNICORN WARRIORS POSTCARD. In the mail! Woo snail mail!
Bi-Weekly Writing Prompts
I am pretty pumped about this. Most people know I'm big on writing in November, but I want to help encourage people to write ALL the time! When we hit $1,500, I will start releasing bi-weekly writing prompts (that's every other week) and start a tumblr community for people to share what they write with each other.

Who are you?
I'm Kristina Horner, an online personality and content creator. I'm a geek, I'm a girl, and I like all things cute. I've also been creating YouTube videos and blog posts out of my bedroom since 2007, making sporadic and inconsistent amounts of money along the way. Most of what I make covers basically the amount it costs to be a functioning adult, and the rest gets funneled back into making cool things for other people. I do it because I love to, don't get me wrong. But this is where Patreon comes in, a really cool and useful new tool for artists like myself.
What is Patreon/Why should I care?
Patreon is a crowd-funding platform for independent creators (like me!). It's sort of like Kickstarter, only instead of giving a lot of money to specific really big project, becoming someone's "Patron" helps artists like myself maintain a more consistent stream of funding for frequent, smaller projects. It's a way to give back to people who have been making things for you for free, and to support the artists you really care about. Even if it's just a couple of dollars - it adds up and it really helps!
And obviously, in exchange for taking a chance on me like this, I've developed some exciting incentives and new ways to interact with my work, like secret facebook groups, personality quizzes, conference calls and hand-written postcards. Consider these things a big thank you for your kindness/generosity.
How often will you be making stuff?
I used to make videos once a week on my YouTube channel. Already Patreon has helped me bring that number to TWO videos a week, and has allowed me to focus a lot more on the type of content I love to make. The response has been wonderful and I am so grateful you guys have helped make this happen! I would also love to use Patreon as a means to develop new projects and new types of content. Specifically, I'm hoping to use Patreon as a means to do more writing - for you!
But, all this stuff will be free though? Why should I donate?
The videos I make and blog posts I write will absolutely still be free. They always will be, and Patreon won't change that. If you hate the idea of creators asking for money, you can close this page right now and never come back. However, I work super hard on this stuff and I've been doing so for nearly eight years now - so if you LIKE what I do, this is a way for you to throw a little extra cash my way so I can keep doing it at this higher calibre.
