Living in Asia Ironically began in 2015 while I was living in Shanghai. What started as a fun hobby sharing absurd elements of Chinese culture to the world turned into something so much more. Pretty soon I was getting hundreds of messages daily with bad translations, wacky news articles and memes from Asia. It was too much to handle so 1 year ago, I created our community group, Shitposting in Asia Ironically.

What's in good spirit to some isn't to others and many have taken offense to our content. Unfortunately, this goes to an extreme level. Vague threats to mass report posts in hopes of getting our community taken down permanently are not uncommon. Recently, it's taken a darker turn though - death threats. Typical keyboard warrior behavior, nothing to worry about.

The content will flow. Nothing will change really. I'm not discouraged.

This Patreon is for the diehard fans that plan on sticking around and show their support. I've got some cool partnerships lined up to begin Q1 2018, but there's also a few things on our forecast that can't be done without some cash flow. I've had a blast running LIAI / SIAI, so it'll happen regardless, but extra dough will speed up the timeline.

In the current state of the LIAI/SIAI community, there wasn't a ton to offer patrons except for 1 thing: whitelist status in SIAI.

Throw a bone our way and you get added to the 'no ban' list of our shitposting group. The rules still apply to you, but my mods will be more lenient (locked or deleted threads rather than a ban). Within reason, of course.

If you're a ZUCC risk, I gotta put the safety of the community above you.

Goals
18% complete
When I hit the $100 mark,, I'll redesign the LIAI website and publish 2 blog articles weekly.
