About

Howdy!
Thanks for visiting my Patreon page and being open to hearing about, and hopefully supporting my work.
I'm a musician and a writer - I draw from my experiences as a Black, queer, trans, sober, academic and the stories my family's passed down. I play viola with a wide variety of artists around town, especially, Eileen & the In-Betweens, and am trying to grow sturdier roots as a solo artist.

You can check out my latest EP here - a love song for my puppy, a happy lament about the tricksy nature of queer love with no models, and a tale of sweet revenge against racists.

I've come to accept I'm a writer. As a PhD student I write long ass papers about Black and Indigneous queer and trans history, and I hope to have the time and resources to turn these papers into accessible zines. You can check out some of my writing about intersectionality and sobriety over on Autostraddle

I've had the honor to play more solo shows, even traveling to Austin the past two years to play at their incredible Gender Unbound festival for trans and intersex artists.

My goal is to release an album this year. I need monetary support to: pay my lovely studio engineer, buy and self distribute physical discs, create and copy zines to provide a more in-depth background on the trans and Black history I dive into, money for a music video, and hopefully hopefully hopefully - an electric guitar.

Please help amply Black trans voices, pay what you can, I promise I'll make ya proud.
Goals
$50 of $100 per month
I'll upload a copy of my 18 month sobriety celebration zine, and have physical copies available at Self Serve
