Hello!

Who are you? I'm Matthew, and I want to help you to play guitar. My opinion is that the best way to do this is by learning the songs that you love.

What do you do? I give song lessons on YouTube under the name LeftHandedGuitarist. I present my videos without much talking, I just play the songs along with on-screen chord diagrams. The videos are meant to supplement your other learning methods and are designed as practice tools to help you learn chords. I sometimes show simplified versions of songs for beginners, or I may do intermediate level videos which present the songs as they were originally played. Most importantly, I include information for both right-handers AND LEFT-HANDERS!

What's Patreon all about? My videos will always be free, but they take a lot of time, research and effort to make and I earn very little from them through YouTube. Patreon is a way for you to help support me or say thank you if you find my videos useful. As little as $1 a month from you will make a huge difference to me, and enable me to keep doing this!

What do I get out of it? Besides the good feeling that you've helped support a creator, I have a number of rewards available. You'll get behind-the-scenes access on my processes and musical recommendations. You can get access to chord charts for the songs I teach, as well as backing tracks.

Thank you so much for any support you can give!

  • You just want to support me. You have some good karma coming your way (maybe!).

  • Patreon feed access - I'll post updates, behind-the-scenes stuff, interesting videos I've discovered online, or talk about the music I've been listening to.

  • You're feeling more generous and are a pretty lovely person whom everyone likes.

  • Printable chord charts for video lessons (starting from January 2016 ). These have chord diagrams in both right-handed and left-handed versions, and suggested strum patterns where appropriate.

  • Backing tracks (MP3) (starting from March 2017 videos) that I make. These do take me some time to make, and I get enough requests for them that I've decided to include them here.
Goals
$65 of $100 per month
If we reach this goal, I will go back and make chord charts for all of my older video lessons, pre-2016, and make them available to Patrons.
