Hello everyone! I'm going to approach this in a simple, FAQ style to bring you up to speed and answer your questions!

"Who Are You?"
My name is Anthony, better known on forums and Twitter as LibrariaNPC or at conventions as The NPC. Among other things, I am a librarian, long-time game master (GM), sometimes playtester, and the Editor-in-Chief of the game review website Sticky Bunton.

"What Are You Making?"
For those of you who are coming here without knowing of my writing: I have been writing weekly blog posts (Wednesdays, 12:00 PM EST) since March 2015, with a primary focus on tabletop roleplaying games (RPGs) and some branching out with the gaming community and blacksmithing (Cakerist, the Confection Cleaver and my first foray into making a sword). I was writing, on average, four reviews/posts a month, with each review averaging around two-thousand words.

"Why Are You On Patreon?"
While I may be the Editor-In-Chief for Sticky Bunton, it is not a paying gig. If anything, I'm paying to do my own writing, as I pay for the large majority of my materials.

While I have been given a large number of comments and praises for my reviews, insights, and even the trials faced at the forge, it doesn't pay the bills. Thanks to some unexpected (and major) life changes, I've had to make some changes to compensate for it, starting with my writing schedule.

At this time, I have reduced my reviews to a bi-weekly basis due to financial restrictions, and have considered the drastic approach of limiting new content to once per month. Instead of going to that extreme, my fellow writers and gamers suggested I try Patreon.

Each RPG I review normally runs between $30-$60 to acquire the material, with RPG peripherals and board games running much higher. This does not factoring in any extra costs (e.g. shipping), costs faced to get the work done (e.g. internet/data bills, aging technology), and does not factor in any time I spend reading or analyzing the material.

As I prefer my reviews to be as candid and unbiased as possible, I strive to acquire materials without feeling as though I "owe" a positive review in exchange for the product. Funding acquired from this Patreon will allow me to acquire new materials for review in a timely fashion to maintain both a regular schedule and the autonomy needed to write these honest, unbiased, and candid reviews.

"What Will You Spend The Money On?"

A very valid question! As mentioned above, the money from this will be going directly into buying materials for review. Each month, I've been using the money from this Patreon to back Kickstarters at the PDF level, while also keeping an eye out for new releases or interesting peripherals. Since starting the Patreon, I've been spending anywhere from $40 to $200 per month on review materials.

Nothing paid here is expected to go into my pocket directly, but rather back into review materials or helping offset the costs needed to maintain the reviews.
"So What Do I Get?"
Besides the "Warm, Fuzzy Feeling" buff? A few things, actually!.

The primary reward to everyone here (and beyond) would be my continuation of reviewing of RPGs and related materials on a weekly basis. If things are successful enough, I might consider getting into other content types, but for now, I want to focus on my writing.

For those of you backing me, regardless of tier, you'll have access to my backer-only posts, polls, and will have the ability to offer votes and suggestions for what I should be reviewing. All backers will also have early access to my reviews as I write them, and are free to ask questions and get answers before the review goes live! With higher tiers, you have more sway with regards to what I review next.

Thank you, everyone!
Thank you all for your support and your interest in my writing! I hope to not only meet, but exceed the expectations you have of my work!

Thank you for your support! Everyone at this tier is able to view backer-only content, have early access to my reviews, and can cast votes or offer suggestions for reviews!
Quest Giver Rank 1
$15 or more per month 0 of 2 patrons
Want to give a title to suggest but don't want to break the bank? I can't blame you!

Back at this level and give me an RPG title that you know is available on PDF. I will buy a copy of the PDF as soon as possible and bump the request up the list (below Master Quest Giver, of course).

Quest Giver Rank 2
$30 or more per month 0 of 1 patrons
Do you want to bump a game up the request list for review? Here's your chance! Back at this level and give me an RPG or board game title. It will be bumped up the list to be purchased as soon as possible (finances permitting based on game title, of course).
Quest Giver Rank 3
$40 or more per month 1 patrons (sold out!)
You must enjoy assigning tasks, because here's your chance! Back at this level and give me an RPG or board game title. It will be bumped up the list to be purchased as soon as possible for a review (finances permitting based on game title, of course). These requests go just beneath "Master Quest Giver."
Master Quest Giver
$60 or more per month 0 of 1 patrons
Want to ensure I get to reviewing a game of your choice, or feel that a game deserves the attention? Here's your chance!

Back at this level and give me an RPG or board game title. It will be bumped up to the top the list to be purchased as soon as possible for a review (finances permitting based on game title, of course).

Essentially, this will ensure I review a title of your choice each month (again, finances permitting).

Goals
$42 of $60 per month
At $60 per month, I can ensure the ability to purchase a new rulebook or a pair of PDFs every month. This means that a newly released RPG will be reviewed each month, keeping the reviews new and fresh without a delay.

At this level, you are ensuring that I can swing up to two reviews each month focusing on new content, depending on costs of materials.
