This tier is for those that think $1 is prudent. We admire the choice that all our patrons exercise regarding their donation as long as it is exercised with virtue and reason. As of yet, we do not exclude Dollar Tier members from any benefits.

Five Dollar Tier
$5
per month
This tier is for those that think $5 is prudent. As with all acts of generosity, the amount ultimately does not matter (we're no Aristotelians!)... Rather, it matters whether you give in accordance with reason and virtue.

This tier is for those that think $10 is prudent. Up to you!

About The Los Angeles Stoics
Hello!
My name is Justin, I am a college instructor and the facilitator of the “Los Angeles Stoics,” a chapter of The Stoic Fellowship, which is itself an international non-profit headquartered in the US. At the moment, the L.A. Stoics meet twice a month to read and discuss readings in Stoic philosophy and how to implement its insights into modern living.
Because of the resurgence in interest in Ancient and Modern Stoicism, I expect the group to grow organically both in its size and in its mission over the next years. We've hosted regular volunteer work activities in the spirit of Stoic philanthropy and cosmopolitanism; we've organizes a Los Angeles “Stoicon-X” convention in collaboration with the 'Modern Stoicism' non-profit; and we hold special meetings on specific topics or themes. I encourage anyone and everyone to bring ideas to me for future events.
I also encourage folks to donate to the local group in order to fund account memberships, website domain fees, venue accommodations, and equipment for future lectures and conventions.
Feel free to check out the Los Angeles Stoic website, Meetup page, Instagram page, and Twitter.
