Lotsawa House began in 2004 with one purpose: to make accurate, readable translations of Tibetan Buddhist texts available online for free. Today, the site hosts more than 2000 texts (in nine languages) from more than 180 Indian and Tibetan Buddhist masters.

Thousands of students of Tibetan Buddhism all over the world regularly use the site and say that they find it valuable, invaluable even.

Our English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Italian sections are growing every month — and we recently added Chinese. Texts from the House have been translated and posted elsewhere online too, in Russian, Thai, Bulgarian, and other languages.

More than 60 translators and editors have contributed to Lotsawa House, all committed to the vision of making these precious texts freely available. But for this we rely on the generosity of patrons like you

With your help we can build a vast library of many thousands — even hundreds of thousands — of profound, spiritually rewarding texts, all available “on the House”.

Thank you for your generosity.
