Free Monthly Webinars!
If we can get to this goal, I'll host a free monthly webinar session via Google Hangout. We can talk about the program, making comics, and anything else we can think of.
About
I'm a guy who's been drawing comics for himself and for others since about 2001. I've also dabbled in writing guide books about the art program, Manga Studio.
I was also a professional wrestler at one point in my life. That was pretty cool.

Hello there!
My name is Doug Hills. I'm the author of Manga Studio for Dummies, and an upcoming series of Field Guides covering Manga Studio 5 and Clip Studio Paint. I also helped develop a series of tutorial videos for Smith Micro covering the basics of how to use Manga Studio 4, and later Manga Studio 5.
I want to talk to you about a new project that I am developing: The Manga Studio Guide.
One of the things I get asked about the most (other than when my Manga Studio Starter's Guide book will be released) is if I will be making any more videos covering how to use the program.
I want to. And, I want to do it in a way that will let everyone watch them whenever they want, for free, forever. But, making these videos does take time and effort to research and produce. And that's time that takes away from other freelance projects I take on to help pay the bills.
I could include advertisements in the videos to help fund them, but I find them personally annoying to have to sit through before watching a video I just queued up. I can imagine it's not much fun for you, either.
So, I turn to you all for help in this endeavor. And I'm using Patreon to do this.
I am asking for any donations (large or small) to The Manga Studio Guide per video I produce.
Should you choose to support this, you will be able to set a monthly limit on how much you donate, and (most important), you can cancel at any time. So, you can put as much, or as little into this project as you want.
And that's all I need, honestly. Every little bit helps me make as many videos as I can about (hopefully) every aspect of this program.
But most importantly, your support lets me keep The Manga Studio Guide free for everyone, forever. This is a program I've loved using for years now, and I want to make sure that everyone has their chance to learn how to use this program to the best of their abilities. Hopefully, The Manga Studio Guide will help.
About the Videos:
In Conclusion...
Whether you can donate to my project, or if you only wish to offer moral support, I thank you for stopping by and watching/reading what I plan to offer with this project.
I hope that you'll check out The Manga Studio Guide as I begin to produce new videos, and I sincerely hope that they will help you understand all you need to know about this program. And, that this knowledge will let you focus on the important thing: making amazing artwork.
Thanks again. :)

About the Videos:
- My plan is to create a new video 1-2 times per month, depending on my work schedule.
- These videos will be about five to ten minutes in length; possibly longer, depending on the topic at hand.
- While many of you out there are using Manga Studio 5/Clip Studio Paint, I know that there are many others using Manga Studio 4 Debut and EX as well. So, I'll create videos dedicated to that program, too.
- In addition to videos covering how the program works, I will be covering up-to-date changes and additions to the program, and how they may impact you and your work.
- I'll even cover some fun tips and tricks, like adjusting Manga Studio to look and behave like Photoshop (helping those of you making the switch can make that transition go a little more smoothly).
- And, I'm sure as the series grows and evolves, there will be other things that I'll be covering.
