Hot Drinks, Cold Studio...
$3
per month
Thank you for funding my hot drinks!!! I drink lots of hot drinks in the winter when I'm Making All The Things. Cause my studio space is largely unheated/underheated.

At this level of patronage, not only do you get my weekly post, but I'll also give you first crack (painful pun intended) at new stained glass panels at this level, meaning I'll put them for sale here for 72 hours before launching them on "open-to-the-public" platforms.
Hot Drinks, Plus Some...
Limited (14 remaining)
$5
per month
First and foremost, thank you for being here!

At this level of patronage, you receive more than my words in your inbox - you get one in your mailbox TOO! After you've been a patron at this level for six months, you’ll receive one of my famous word magnets made in dichroic glass and sent to your mailing address. If applicable, it will be one of my new phrases for the year, meaning that while most years I turn out some new phrase, that's not always the case. (I'll keep track though, and I promise that you won't get repeats from year to year.)

I'll send a new phrase to you 12 months after the first, and 12 months after that, and so on.  These dichroic magnets are an exclusive thing that you can't buy in my shop.  It will be just for my patrons at this level and tiers above.

You also get the benefits of the $3/month tier, which is to say that in addition to the weekly post, you'll have 72 hours in which to view every new stained glass panel I make before it becomes publicly available.

Thank you for signing up!

This tier is radically different from my "stuff oriented" tiers, so please read it carefully, because it's not about my "glass art". Instead, the focus here is connection and altruism. It's about my tribe, my Ren folk, my self employed friends who are in a world of hurt right now, and the people whose paths I cross that could use a few meals tucked into their pocket without judgment.

Your membership includes the weekly posts, the 72 hour preview window in which new stained glass pieces are launched for patrons only, and a blanket 10% off anything you wish to buy that I show off here. The highlight of this level though is that your first $10 payment that's processed through Patreon, is forwarded to an artist or struggling service provider that needs it right now. You'll get a postcard shortly after that tells you a little bit about the amazing person to whom your money was gifted, without disclosing anything vital that would out the recipient in any fashion. For every six months that you remain a Patron in this tier, you will receive one postcard, and one payment will be forwarded.

When I started my Patreon channel, one of my goals was altruism. Unfortunately with the world as it is at this particular moment in time, the only way I can do that right now is by acting as a conduit from those that have to those do not. After all, artists know everybody, and #TeamHuman means all of us.

About

I've been a full time glass artist for over 15 years. Half of the year, I get to meet my fans face to face, by selling my work at Renaissance Festivals in a 5 state area. The other half of the year I get to hang out with my amazing dog and make All The Glass Things. I love my job, and I especially love when I have some hare-brained idea that involves glass, kilns, torches, metal, polymer clay, or all of the above. To come with me on my glass art journey, (I promise you cannot catch fire through a computer screen!), sign up to become one of my patrons, and walk through the "looking glass" with me as I make magic happen in glass. (And hey, thank you. I wouldn't be making cool things if it weren't for my amazing patrons, customers, and support network.)
Goals
83 of 225 patrons
When one sells at a Renaissance Festival, it's costly... one pays both a "vendor fee" and then is often expected to additionally buy or build a building, yet I know of no better way to get my slightly offbeat style of art in the hands of a buying public.  And booth buying real estate at a Ren Faire is expensive... often requiring loans involving a comma from multiple parties (cause, hey, banks don't really like people whose income is cash-based. They want a paper trail.) I would love to be able to buy my next booth with cash in hand and avoid the loan process altogether.
