Who am I?My name is Ciera Hoover, though I mostly go by the alias: Melon Chalks. I am the artist and creative mind behind the name. I am a woman who likes to have a medley of interests and I try to enjoy life with lots of laughter. Through the works I create, I try to either bring a smile to your face or make you think. If I can do at least either of those two things, then my work is a success.
What kind of artist are you?I take the projects seriously, whether my own or my clients, and I try to convey that by giving detailed updates on them as much as possible as they are being worked on. This is within reason. I will always try to be polite with you, honest, and upfront if anything arises. I am a creative who wants a fair trade between us both. My art work may vary a bit in style, depending on whether it was a collaboration or a piece created on my own. I do aim for consistency as much as possible, how ever.
What got you into art?Games are something that have always fascinated me with their process of creation and what got me into art in the first place, along with the books I read. My first game ever was To Think, a short little game with the same notion of trying to get you to think for yourself. Animations are something I am in the process of learning to do, but I am far enough along in my learning to give you a general idea of what I can do as I develop my skills further. Art in general is something I have always been interested in, how ever, and I am looking forward to sharing my depictions with the world as well as you.
For those of you not familiar with my work, here is a sample:
