I'm Mia, and you might know me from some places around the internet haha.
Right now I'm working on the Becoming Me webcomic, where I talk about my daily life as a transwoman in Santiago de Chile, my hometown.
The comic is updated twice a week on
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm EST, and it's currently running on tumblr!
I also write a column for a newspaper here in Chile and more recently, got a job in design at a big company, which is taking up most of my time ! And the reason why I had to stop making comics for a week or two on early September.
I'll be honest... things tend to be tough every now and then. I was lucky enough to plan ahead and save a lot of money, which kept me alive for almost 8 months, while I was unemployed. Now that I got a job, it's only paying barely enough money to cover all of my expenses, which is why I tend to do extra work, as I can, on the side.
I really want to keep on doing comics, I really do, and I feel like this is maybe the thing I want to spend the rest of my life doing, just, the art.
This is why I come to you, readers, looking for your support and dolla bills so that I can keep drawing Becoming Me on the internet, no ads, for free. And so that I can go on and draw other amazing things !!
