I'll purchase some professional lighting and video equipment, resulting in (hopefully) much better (and more frequent?) videos.
About
Mikey Mason (a nationally touring standup comedian by trade) made a splash on YouTube with the video for his song, “She Don't Like Firefly,” which spurred the recording of his crowd-funded geek rock/comedy album, “Impotent Nerd Rage.” He followed with the geek albums, "Barbarian Jetpack" and "Dangerous Gifts," and an EP of non-comedic songs inspired by Neil Gaiman's novel American Gods.
Mikey's work has been featured on DrDemento.com, Nerdist.com, MTV Geek News, SyFy's Blastr.com, and in Time Magazine's Techland. He has made multiple appearances both on NBC and at the legendary House Of Blues, headlined on all four coasts and performed at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, Geek Media Expo, Browncoat Ball, and RPG conventions across the US. He is also a proud media sponsor of Can't Stop The Serenity, a fundraiser for Equality Now, and performs at at least one CSTS each year.
"Soooo great!!" - Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Serenity, Homeland, V)
"This album totally doesn't suck. Which I like. The music is quality, the guy can sing and play and not to be captain cliche or anything... but I found myself wanting more." -Audrey Brown, bornforgeekdom.com
“The wordplay is genius.” -Juliette B. Edwards, nerdsraging.com
"My dad had a great sense of humor, knew hundreds of jokes, puns, limericks, etc and would have LOVED your song!" -Cindy Gygax (Daughter of RPG luminary Gary Gygax) Learn more at mikeymason.com.

The door closes behind you with a loud clank, and you find yourself in a windowless room, lit from a single lamp hanging above a small desk covered in huge, ancient looking tomes. An old man with a wrinkled, sooty face sits behind the desk, his rheumy eyes cartoonishly magnified by his absurdly thick, horn-rimmed glasses, smudged with smoke and ash. Dust motes drift in the dim light.
He cringes as one of the giant books bursts into flames, disintegrating almost instantly. He slaps at the smoking area with his hands, chasing embers with his palms, smothering them with feeble claps until he is assured that there is no further sign of fire.
He glances up, peering at you intensely, his gaze a magnet for your own. His lips part, and his mawkish voice breaks the silence.
"I have very few regrets. In fact I have only one. You see these books? These are the songs that Mikey Mason could have written, given the opportunity. In fact, this one..."
He flips cautiously to a page in another text, grimacing as he notices the page start to singe at the corner. His hand darts to his mouth, an aged tongue moistening his fingers, and he deftly pinches the starting flame.
"...this one," he continues, "might possibly have changed the world. But I'll never know. You see, I never supported Mikey on Patreon."
Another book bursts into flames. The old man looks at you, grasps at his chest, falling to the floor.
What will you do?
To support Mikey as a Patron of the Arts, turn to page 173.*
To try the door, turn to page 15.
To loot the old man's body, turn to page 84.
*Actually just click in the box above and pledge $1 or more per song or video.
It's simple. I want to put out more geek music. More comedy music. More rock music. More geek rock comedy music. And I want it to be bigger, better, and more awesomer. And I want the same for videos.
And you can help make that happen by becoming a patron and offering your financial support so I can worry less about how to afford to do all that and worry more about DOING IT!
If you like what I do, and you want me to do more, support me. If you don't... Well... We all have regrets...
