Full time weekend animation
If I can reach this amount, I can entirely switch from freelance work over to my film on the weekends. This means I will no longer have to split my attention in order to make money, I can instead work entirely on my film. This means faster production, frequent updates, and more animation for all you to look at.

I'm a classical animation fan and professional animator working out of Austin TX, at Powerhouse Animation. I also wear kilts, on occasion, every occasion. Thus, if you don't know me as Pat, you probably know me as The Kilted Animator or That Guy in the Kilt.

Hi! My name is Patrick Stannard, you may also know me as
"The Kilted Animator". I'm a huge fan of old school animation, golden age animation, from Fleischer to Walter Lantz and everything in between. I work professionally for Powerhouse Animation, and you may have seen my work in such games as The Banner Saga, Epic Mickey 2, or the indie game Beasts Fury.Now I'm working on finishing an independent film of my own, titled "My Dad the Giant". "My Dad the Giant" is a personal film I started in 2010, and by 2013 it was fully animated on paper. Sadly within that year my father, a large inspiration to myself and the film, passed away after a long battle with prostate cancer. This put the film on hold for awhile, but now I'm ready to get back into it.
The entire film will be animated in traditional hand drawn style, but utilizing Adobe Flash, and imported into after effects. This will give the film the polish I think it deserves. I took Scene 20 of my film and brought in to completion in order to demonstrate what the final product will look like. See below!
What do I get if I become a Patron?
You'll be helping make this film a reality, and you'll help me as an artist doing this in my free time, earn a little bit extra to help offset my costs. With my girlfriend going back to school, this is time I could be spending doing small freelance work, as such I'd love to finish my film and get it into festivals, and you can help make that happen!
Additionally you will get special private access to my animation streams, weekly updates not available to the public, and for the higher tier supporters you will get the actual animation SWFs of my work to step through and analyse at your leisure.
How does it work?
