The Myotherapy Reading Room provides a curatedkeyword-indexed feed of topical peer review papers (journal articles), podcastsclinical practice guidelines and systematic reviews together with links to related papers and resources, all specifically selected to support subscribing clinicians in the practical application of evidence-based practice with particular regard to musculoskeletal pain and injury presentations, including chronic pain.

The Myotherapy Reading Room is the brain-child of Elaine Stevenson, an epidemiologist, health information consultant and clinician who is passionate about increasing the adoption of evidence-based practice among practitioners who undertake assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients experiencing musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions.

The lead-term, Myotherapy, specifically references the Australian profession whose remit is the evidence-based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions, and to that end, the content focuses on that domain.

For clinicians who are able to count time spent keeping abreast of relevant peer review publications, and/or podcast, material accessed through becoming a patron may be claimed towards professional development hours, and accordingly each post includes supporting documentation (forms) which subscribers may save and use to keep a record of their reading and associated reflections.  Additional details can be found here

Posts follow an annual calendar of topics with each new post being available to members via email and via this interface.  Subscription fees are nominal, $3US per month for standard access, which includes peer review paper and podcast selections, or $6US per month for premium access, which covers all material included in 'standard access' plus all clinical practice guideline and systematic review selections.

The intended audience therefore includes any and all of the following:
