About Not So Standard Deviations
We've started a podcast called Not So Standard Deviations! Our goal is to produce regular conversations where we talk about data science and things that we think are interesting to data scientists. We are data scientists working in academia and industry and we've both worked in a variety of areas, looking at all kinds of data, big and small.
The podcast is our new project. We love it, and we want to produce more episodes, but now we need to start making a few key investments. For example, to improve the quality of the recordings we need to buy some better equipment (no more earbud microphones!). There are also a bunch of recurring costs like hosting and VoIP recording software. Your support is critical for allowing us to setup this basic infrastructure.
Thanks for supporting us!
Hilary Parker and Roger Peng
Hilary Parker is a Data Scientist formerly at Stitch Fix and Etsy, and Roger Peng is a Professor of Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Nothing on this page or in our podcast should be considered as representing the views of Johns Hopkins University.
