About Naomi Ault

Hello there! Chew is my first venture into publishing fiction and I'm excited to send it out into the world. If you've ever wondered what it might be like for the zombies after they get cured, then Chew is the serial fiction for you! It's gritty, definitely not PG, and in the horror/supernatural genre. Here is the official blurb:
Where were you when you turned?

The Wormwood Prion infected millions with an irresistible need to chew, demonstrating a distinct preference for human flesh.

Allison Rose is lucky. She's one of the fortunate few to wake up in a Recovery Center; cured, but with a head full of monstrous memories intact. Adopting an abandoned child, she teams up with the enigmatic Will Turner, and together they discover the cure isn't the end of their nightmare, it's just the beginning.

The prologue for Chew is a stand-alone short story titled Remain Calm. That and the next two chapters are available for free on Kindle Vella, but according to Amazon's terms, I cannot offer them here as free chapters. (I agree, it's a weird rule!) However, you can check them out here for free and if you like what you see, sign up here at Patreon for all the previous episodes PLUS the convenience of twice-a-week automatic updates without paying for each episode. Serial fiction is available in the All-Access Tier*.

If you want to stay in touch, but don't want to subscribe to Patreon, you can subscribe to my newsletter. I won't spam you, but sometimes I like to tell people what my favorite books are and have contests and stuff. Aside from subscribing to my newsletter, or visiting my website, I keep my Linktree updated daily. I've integrated Patreon directly into my website, so now you can read my work here or there, whichever is easiest for you!

I have written the first three novellas in my fantasy series, Discarded Objects of the Apocalypse, which I plan to release here for my patrons to read before their launch dates. To date, I've plotted out eight books in this series. The first of these is Alice Kane Must Die and is in the editing phase now. The next novella in that series will be Thomas Kincaide Dies in the End and will either be a chapter-by-chapter weekly update or a single file novella download (depends on timing and expected publishing dates). Early access novellas are available in the All-Access Bump Up Tier*.

I also have several ghostly short stories to finish up for posting & these will all be available here when they are ready. Short stories and work-in-progress excerpts are generally available in the All-Access Bump Up Tier* though I may occasionally offer one as a free post.

I primarily write in the realm of the fantastical and cover everything from zombies to ghosts to fairies & magic. I love to write and my dream is to earn a small living from doing something that I love. Your support, on any level, would mean the world to me.

I am currently offering multiple tiers, but I want to hear what sort of content you'd like to see offered. I'm hoping to raise money through Patreon to defray the costs associated with self-publishing such as editors, covers, and formatting—just to name a few.

So please, come on in and let me tell you a story!

7/23/2021 *PLEASE NOTE: Patreon charges on the first of every month. If you join at the end of the month, Patreon will charge you again on the first. There does not seem to be any pro-rating available; therefore, you may wish to wait until the first of the month to subscribe, to avoid double billing.
