What is Nomad Colorado?
Nomad Colorado is an online travel and outdoor guide for all things Colorado.  We strive to provide quality information about the Centennial State.  Our website features information about Colorado towns and road trips, outdoor and lifestyle adventures, and activities around Denver.  We frequently highlight eats and drinks, major attractions, breweries, yoga studios, and photography from around Colorado.  Nomad Colorado is best known for our amazing selection of hikes, accompanied by detailed trail descriptions.  (We formerly produced The Colorado Hiker - a website dedicated to, well, hiking in Colorado.)

Who is Behind Nomad Colorado
Whether you're a native Coloradoan, a new resident, a visitor, or a dreamer, wander Colorado with us!  We started Nomad Colorado as a way for us to share our Colorado adventures with family and friends.  Josh is a native son and big fan of pack burro racing (the state's official sport), and Liz got to Steamboat Springs as fast as her parents could get there (which was over 25 years ago).  Our youthful adventures together started soon after meeting in college at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and, today, we dedicate most of our time developing our young daughter's adventurous spirit.  We have lived in six different Colorado cities and towns, through-hiked the Colorado Trail, and traveled to nearly all of Colorado's destinations.  Josh has an incredible knack for remembering both random and important facts about Colorado.  And Liz enjoys story-telling and capturing beautiful images from around the state.  Most importantly, we love sharing our more than 60 years of collective Colorado experiences with others.  It’s this combination of time spent in Colorado – both as wanderers and parents – and endless traveling that makes us uniquely qualified to help you find your next adventure.

Supporting Nomad Colorado
With your support, Nomad Colorado can continue to provide top-rate information about the Centennial State.  We want to focus on providing quality content rather than marketing to our viewers.  And with a little bit of financial support, and some luck, we hope to grow into Colorado's number one resource for outdoor and travel information.  Thank you for generously supporting Nomad Colorado!

Nomad Colorado's Vision & Goals
Our vision is to make Nomad Colorado self-sustaining without resorting to using Google Ads and other advertising services that clutter up our quality content (and track your every move).  We respect your privacy and want to ensure you have the best user experience possible.  Our initial goal is to raise $3,000 per month.  This will cover costs for:
  1. Hosting/Domain - we have to pay to make the website and its information available to all.
  2. Writers - we have a talented team of four regular writers but would love to expand our team so that we have eight regular writers throughout Colorado.  That way, we can make sure to cover all of Colorado's diverse regions.
  3. Fuel/Travel - to provide you with the best and most current info, we spend money touring Colorado.  While we generally travel on the cheap (i.e. camping, eating ramen, etc), these costs add up.
Nomad Colorado's Stretch Goal
We, of course, would love to do this on a full-time basis and quit our day jobs.  In the meantime, we'll do the best we can to bring you as much quality Colorado travel and outdoor information as possible.
