Activism, academia, whatever else I feel like writing about

I have been thinking about blogging for a while, and have been encouraged to do so by many people.  I am a grad student and don't make a lot of money.  Any monetary support that you provide will be helpful to my family, and also make my activism more financially sustainable.  It will allow me to justify spending time on blogging.  I won't charge for any posts that are pure linkspam or placeholders.
