The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project is a non-profit, tech-led investigative journalism platform, providing tools, data and expertise for journalists and editors worldwide.

Through our growing network of local investigative centers, we are the most prolific global publisher of high quality, cross-border investigative journalism. And with corruption on the rise even in established democracies, we are constantly expanding our reach so that we can help hold everyone to account.

Put simply, our mission is to dramatically raise the cost of doing business for the world's criminals and kleptocrats.

It's been an exciting journey till now. But we are facing challenges every day. Our reporters and staff face constant security threats. We have huge databases left unused because of lack of funds.

We are grateful every time people read and share our stories. That in itself is a huge support to our work. But this is your chance to become a partner and co-conspirator in creating what we like to call 'the People's NSA'.
Goals
$597 of $1,000 per month
When we hit $1,000 per month, we'll be able to put it towards a range of key tasks:

  • Scraping databases (and uploading the data to ID Search) at a much faster rate, so we can track organized criminals more closely
  • Developing an interactive dossier on corrupt politicians that can be shared with other media and the public
  • Investigating a criminal conspiracy involving corrupt government officials
  • Following up stories on corruption to find out why law enforcement hasn't acted
