Ol’ BRW Racing is dedicated to the restoration and racing of classic Mini Coopers, below are our current projects:
Isabel “GT’ Blom - Isabel is an ex-SCCA racing car, the car is a 1966 Mini. The engine in the car is a 1380cc motor with a custom made cylinder head that he made himself. The crank is a Metro crank, and it runs at about a 14:1 compression ratio. The transmission is a Jack Knight straight cut close ratio involute gearbox, the drop gears are also Jack Knight. Back in the day, there was only a hand full of tube framed Minis that were faster.
Roselyn Blom - One thing I was planning on doing while in Scotland was trying to find a donor car for a new engine for Isabel…unfortunately all we found was this little car, fully road legal, MOT inspection and everything, and with only 68 thousand miles. We decided that it wouldn’t be right gutting such a lovely car, but we bought it anyway and imported it once it turned twenty-five and now plan to do a full restore on it over here.
