For the past year, I've been working on the score for a feature film, which will be announced shortly. Before that, I worked in Vaporwave under the moniker "ショッピングワールドjp," releasing three albums which you can find here, here, and here! (That last one was a collab with Skyler Spence, formerly known as SAINT PEPSI). Additionally, I scored the short film "Auntie," for the 48 Hour Film Project (you can watch that here), and contributed two tracks to "LSD Revamped," an independent remake of Osamu Sato's "LSD: Dream Emulator." I'm also commonly floating around Twitter offering loose criticism of music, games and film such as this example about Persona 4 and 5's use of musical tone! (This is something I would like to do more of!)
I'm working on producing a weekly podcast, "Discography Cartography," which deals with exploring and detailing the libraries of particularly prolific artists, and picking apart a specific song by said artist from a theory standpoint, alternating. Also, I'm writing a 24 hour album, "The Unavailable Memory Of," which is also a piece of interactive art (or a video game, if you like)! Also, I'm working on recreating an opera in VR (more on that soon!), and I write game/music crit on my blog, "Mechanically Separated!"
I'm really excited to bring you this stuff! Something which stalls the production of these things (and much more!) is sustaining myself with retail work. Working 40 hours a week, I still struggle to stay afloat. The scoring of this feature film has taken a long time as a result, and I would really like to be able to support myself in some small way, through a means that offers me more time to produce Cool Stuff For You! Additionally, I am somewhat desperate to begin hormone therapy, as part of transitioning, and that currently isn't financially feasible, without working two jobs (which means Even Fewer Cool Things For You).
By contributing to this Patreon, you'll be helping me support myself, while increasing the time I can devote to creative pursuits, as well as helping me cover the expenses of transitioning! Even if you don't have the means to support this Patreon, I hope you'll enjoy my output! Thank you for your time!
