Hello, love! I'm a published poet and human rights advocate based in Winston Salem, North Carolina. I'm the assistant to the president of the International Human Rights Consortium, Wilda Spalding. All of my work that I do for Wilda is entirely non-profit, no-pay, volunteer-because I believe in human rights and dignity for all, and I believe in the IHRC.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to continue creating while working as a human rights advocate with no pay! I can't continue writing OR working as a human rights advocate & crisis counselor if it doesn't contribute to my ability to survive month to month. I also have many projects, including new book releases and others, that I know my patrons would adore, but I simply cannot afford to pursue those projects.

To lose the ability to create and share poetry and advocate for the voiceless would be to lose a fundamental part of myself. I've received such an outpouring from my community of followers, many of whom have reached out to say that some of my poems got them through suicide, trauma, and other tragedies. Poetry, to me, is another avenue through which I can touch people's lives, and I can't imagine dissapointing those that have fallen in love with my particular brand of words. There's also quite a bit that I still aim to do, but I can't do it with your support.

I would so deeply appreciate your contribution to my ability to continue writing poetry while also working to create some difference in our society!

If you're a new patron, please check out my instagram page, @oliviagrace_poet! If you're a previous fan looking to support me, thank you so much! Your support will not go unnoticed, and it will be rewarded by fresh, exciting new content and projects!

Truly,
Olivia Grace
