Milestone Goals
Keep me in supplies! Keep me motivated! Make videos!
What it says on the tin. If I were to reach this goal I would be able to produce a weekly video with speedpaints, tutorials, behind the scenes, art tours and more!
Every dollar will go towards supplies which then don't have to come out of my cat food budget. (Loki and Mara thank you for your donations.)
What supplies you might ask?

What supplies you might ask?
- I want to produce higher quality tutorial and time-lapse videos on YouTube. I don't have a decent camera, tripod or lights that will do this so they're high on my priority list. My current camera is okay but it's 10 years old and not user friendly.
- I have been investing in Prismacolor markers over the last six months and they are not cheap (but worth it) - I need more!
- I could use a good light-box and a quality scanner/printer so I can begin reproducing artwork for you!
- I want to start mounting prints on wood blocks with resin coating but it requires more start-up than I expected - a heat gun, the resin, a respirator, etc. Why is everything I love to do so expensive?
- I would also like to begin experimenting with Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus Watercolors but with each of the three sets at $70 they're out of my price range.
- If I were to dream really big I would think about expanding my marker collection to include Copic markers but that's crazytalk.
Updating my website! Producing videos!
I really want to interact with you. At this level it would be much easier for me to create giveaways and surprise boxes. I see a lot of Patreon accounts doing that and I would like to do that for you!
At this level I would also be able to focus on putting together a comprehensive website of all my past and current projects. I've wanted a solid website for a long while but because I work in so many mediums cataloging my art takes a lot of time and talent I don't have. I love learning new mediums but web design of this level is out of my knowledge base, sadly.

Hi. I'm Melissa and I like to make things. I'm always attracted to shiny new mediums, techniques and styles which I can fold into my creative toolbox. Each piece I make enriches and informs all the pieces I create going forward. Each piece is a direct result of all my past creations.
Here's a short list of previous and/or current obsessions: figurative art, bookbinding, oil painting, coloring, printmaking, shadow boxes, origami (tessellations, modular and traditional), paper-craft automatons and figures, ceramics (pottery and handbuilding), 2D/3D abstract design, paper cuts, figure drawing, puppets and more that I can't think of right now.
I've made quite a few posts to give you a taste of the breadth of my interests. I think I've got a little of everything in there. Burlesque figure drawing, quilling, chibis. I'm a magpie of the art world. Give me your shiny bits. I will make my nest of them.
Another aspect of this account, and asking for your help, is accountability. I can be a little mercurial when it comes to making stuff. Showing what I do in a more public manner will help me maintain a dialog with people online through my art.
I've started making YouTube videos of my processes and updating my Instagram on a fairly regular basis.
I have a few goals in mind I hope to put your patronage towards:
Where my projects are easily reproducible (2D drawings and paintings, etc) I will be providing prints of them as rewards for different tiers. When I'm making more one of a kind objects (origami, books, pottery or 3D design) I might have a harder time physically sharing with you but I would then provide extra behind the scenes progress shots, exclusive videos and more! I want this to be interactive with my audience.
