Who I am and why I landed on earth:
I'm an author and poet and I landed here by accident. I grew up writing stories about time travel, world-building universes for my Lego creations and inventing weird alien races.

My writing.
I've been writing all my life, I even have two degrees in it. I wrote my first full-length novel when I was 16, though it wasn't very good. I'm 26 now and I have written about seven more novels. One of them is called The Stephanie Glitch, and I'm self-publishing it in 2019. My other book is called Who Built the Humans? and will also come out in 2019. Both books are about simulation theory, life after death and parallel universes. WBTH started off as a receptacle for all the ideas that wouldn't fit in TSG, but over the past few months has turned into a 25,000 word book filled with short stories about our origins, endings and the bits in between. It's become its own entity, which is great, and just proves that any planned trajectory for art might change at a moment's notice (Stephanie started out as a character in a micro-fiction, and now her universe is 1000% bigger!)

So what is this Patreon for?
I have spent most of my life writing, and I'd really love to make a living out of it one day. Whilst big projects like Who built the humans and The Stephanie Glitch are the main thing in my life, I also write a lot of other weird stuff in between. About half the stories I planned for WBTH don't really fit in the theme, so where do they go?

They go here.

This is basically an E-zine for people crazy enough to want to read an E-zine by just one guy. I'm tired of waiting months and months for a reply from a big publisher or agent, so I decided to make my own magazine. This also means I can publish poetry as and when I write it, rather than waiting forever for someone to tell me it is too weird or too normal or some paradoxical hybrid of the two. I know that if my writing is any good, I'll develop a readership organically here. If it isn't too great, you can help shape it. For example, I'll be posting excerpts from WBTH here, and all my followers and patrons alike will have a say as to which stories make it into the final manuscript before I launch it (and myself) into space.

By doing this, I might be able to find myself a regular audience of loyal fans and friends. The scope is likely a lot smaller than the people a story might hit if it was in a big magazine or represented by some huge multinational publisher, but this way I get to know that my stories are in good hands. You're here because you want to be, right? (Let's not question free will until Who Built The Humans comes out.)

Books are unreliable, especially if you're self-publishing like I am. So this is a good way to keep working and improving my work. For me, I get a constant loyal readership that I can engage with and who can help me improve as a writer. For you, you get a steady stream of madness, like a tap affixed directly to the crystal they planted in the core of my brain.

How do the tiers work?
There are three tiers in my mind. Galactic citizens, Time travelers, and Interdimensional Archivists.

>>>Galactic citizens<<<
are my followers, on here or elsewhere. They don't pay me anything (unless they buy a book in the future) so they will get the stories a little bit later, once they've been beaten into shape by the Time travelers. You will get the whole stories, I'm not going to hide the endings behind paywalls. But if you would like to know now how all my stories end right now, everyone dies, usually horribly. Stephanie dies about eight times.

>>>Time travelers<<<

pay for the privilege to see my writing when it is at it most awful. If you think of it that way it isn't very rewarding, but wait, there's more. Time travelers also get some weird privileges, such as becoming their own grandparents being involved in Patron only discussions to name my poems and stories. As a Time traveler, you will read my nonsense before it becomes public, and will have the ability to shape it before it reaches the prying eyes of the Galactic citizens. All posts in this tier will eventually make their way into the public eye of the Galactic Citizens, but by becoming a patron here you are supporting me in eventually advertising stuff and in buying cheeseboards.
)))Exclusive content/perks(((
Early drafts of work from Who Built The Humans
Ability to suggest names for unnamed stories or poems (I tend to pick the funniest ones)
Time traveler status on discord (I am still working these out)

>>>Interdimensional archivists<<<
are the top tier. These people get to flit not only between time but between universes. By paying a little extra for each post you will get author's notes, references and recommendations. It will be like splitting my head open and reading what is inside, except nobody will get arrested. If you want a more in-depth look into my writing and editing processes, this is the tier for you.
)))Exclusive content/perks(((
Early drafts of work from Who Built The Humans
Ability to suggest names for unnamed stories or poems (I tend to pick the funniest ones)
Ability to suggest names for unnamed characters, planets or diseases (Like chronic Susan)
Some unreasonably early drafts from The Stephanie Glitch (I'm talking 2015)
Detailed author's notes that Galactic Citizens probably aren't interested in
Your name in special thanks page of Who Built The Humans
Interdimensional archivist status on discord (I am still working these out)

How the payment works.
I plan to post multiple things in each tier each month, but with only one piece of paid content per month. This means that it's basically the same as subscribing monthly, but you only get charged if I am alive and consciously make a post into a paid post. As such, you might go more than a month without a paid post, it all depends on if I'm alive and if I think the story is worth paying for. All other posts in the month will be 100% free. This insures you against me just pumping out awful content and expecting people to pay for it. Every month or so I will post one piece of paid content. This will nearly always be a story and it will always be weird. I hope you enjoy it. If you're not sure about becoming a patron yet, just follow me, it's free and you still get some stories and poems so you can see if you like my work enough to fire money at it through a tube.

Thanks for reading,

Goals
$11 of $100 per creation
For 100, I will record a thank you video in which I read some embarrassingly bad writing I wrote when I was a young human (before I got my lizard skin). I put it at 100 so I don't have to do it right away. I need to prepare myself first. I will search every digital inch of my computer for the absolute worst thing I have ever written. I will serenade you with love poems, I will read you bad space opera. I will make a fool of myself, and it will be your fault.
