Hi! Since December 2015, I've been crafting small batch soaps and artisnal cosmetics. I've also worked on taking bath and beauty items that we use daily, and creating alternatives that are better for our skin and hair, and the environment. My goal is to make this a viable business with a sustainable product line. Think "Body Shop", or "Ulta", only natural, healthy, and importantly, affordable.

However, my one woman crusade to take over the beauty industry is slow going. I need time to research and develop good products, and I need funding for ingredients. I would love to share some of my easier DIY projects on my blog so anyone can use the recipes, and eventually make a YouTube channel. However, all this takes time and money. These are things I can't accomplish without financial support. In addition, spending all my time creating the perfect mascara leaves no time for a full time job. I'm still working on that mascara, too!

In addition, I try to support my community by donating extra soap I make that is flawed or leftover in any way to the women's crisis center and the homeless shelter. I'm told that they really like getting homemade soap because they can cut it, like cheese, into single use pieces, preventing waste and mess. I'm very proud I'm able to help this way, as I'm aware that personal hygiene items-much less high quality, nice smelling and feeling items-aren't available as often as they should be at these centers. Recently I made goats milk and lavender soap, but I'm not happy with the way it looks. Once it's cured, I will take it to the women's crisis drop off. Your funding would help support things like that. I would potentially be able to make the occasional extra batch, just for fun, to donate.

It's funding from people like you that would also allow me more time for experimentation with all natural soaps and shampoo bars, lotions, cosmetics, aromatherapy balms like "calm balm", solid perfumes, yummy lip balms, and my arnica pain relief muscle rub, among other things. I would also like to build a proper website and get away from selling on Etsy, as I feel like I'm scattered with a blog in one place, my sales in another, etc. It should all be in one. Also, on Etsy, I'm one out of hundreds of soap makers with no way to set myself apart. A catchy website and fun blog filled with "how to's" could be a game changer. I have to learn the ins and outs of web building and get that off the ground. I believe I can do that. I also have friends who will help me if I get backed into a corner, and funding would help cover a little web design and graphic design work as needed.

Please know how very much I appreciate your patronage and how hard I'm working to make this a successful business venture. I'm working on a cohesive product line of lotions, bath, and beauty items, including men's items like beard balm and  aftershave. I'm also revamping my product line of soaps and shampoo bars to rotate every six months with the seasons and stay fresh and relevant. I'm gearing up for my first craft show and learning the ins and outs of that circuit to make contacts and learn more about the business.

Slab mold with dividers. This high quality soap mold makes 18 bars at a time and is made of durable, non -stick material. I've coveted one since I first saw them, and more and more soap ideas I'm having call for a quality slab mold. It's fate.
